Liurnia of the Lakes is one of the most atmospheric and lore-heavy regions in Elden Ring. After the chaos of Limgrave or the horror of Caelid, Liurnia feels calmer at first—but it’s actually full of hidden dangers, illusions, and deep magical history.
The entire region is covered in shallow water, with broken buildings and ruins sticking out of the flooded landscape. It gives the feeling that an entire civilization slowly sank and was forgotten.
Rennala & Her Story
Rennala is one of the most tragic characters in the game:
- She was once a powerful queen and master sorcerer
- She fell in love with Radagon
- Radagon later left her to become consort to Queen Marika the Eternal
That betrayal completely broke Rennala. By the time you meet her, she’s obsessed with “rebirth,” clinging to a magical egg and living in a delusion of her past.
